To empower the next generation of explorers through STEAM education and outreach.

I am so excited to announce the 3rd year of Space City STEAM — the end result of a deeply personal passion project. This camp was founded with the belief that Anyone Can Touch The Stars, which is my personal platform and cause.

I’m an engineer and a moon researcher. My mission to empower the next generation of explorers was inspired by my own journey through STEM education. I graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and later earned my Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Today, I’m a full-time engineer in the aerospace industry.

I welcome middle school students of all backgrounds to attend the first ever STEAM workshop this summer, and no prior STEAM/STEM camp experience is necessary! It will be an honor to showcase a variety of STEAM topics and allow students to explore their unique talents and abilities in a condensed version of the full STEAM camp. It is my hope that students walk away from this summer workshop with a newfound appreciation for the world (especially through the lens of STEAM!), while learning skills and making memories that will last a lifetime.

I am looking forward to welcoming the Space City STEAM Class of 2024 this August in Space City itself — Houston, TX!
